My love, I have such terrible morning sickness that I don't even know what to eat. Perhaps, the baby in my tummy wasn't happy about the breakfast, look at the way the it's kicking. Put your hand here. Do you fell it? I would like to eat something good, hearty, kind of sweet and sourish. Can you make me a snack? My back hurts, I'll go sit on the couch. I'll tuck myself in, put on a movie and you'll spoil me a bit. My God, what's that? Salad and barbecue? No way! No, honey. Do you want me to puke? Spread me some Oreos with fishroe salad. The whole pack.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
