A drop of sweat made its way down slowly from her lip, while he was carefully observing her from a distance. She was a very good-looking lady of the house, racked in real factories. He knew her well; she proudly wore her stickers. Rumor had it that she was pretty cheap, but he knew there was no other to quell the fire he was made of. They were waiting quietly. Eventually, they both slammed down on the table with hearts carved into it. Right away they mingled in one piece, celebrating his grilled minced meat roll flavor and hers of beer.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
