To reach the roof of his palm, he would make a ladder with the fingers of one hand and then climb up with the other. Ewww, it's so dusty in here," she squeaked slightly. From memories, he defended himself, dust always settles on them. Do you keep your memories in the palm of your hand? Yes, there's no room in my head. You don't raise pigeons here, she chirped. No, I just suck them out of my mouth. After she smoothed the lines in her palm, her slender fingers again made delicate scales, reaching up her arms, down her chest, and then lower and lower, but in a different story.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
