For my wife's photo shoot, the blogger. I needed a pearl hat, now the wind is blowing through my pockets. Until I get my payment, I'm doing my homework, we're eating what people are giving us and we are warming ourselves with little hearts. But the consort wants us to keep up appearances. I pick up the phone and write, next to a gushing Cupid: alcoves, Pompadour, malacovuri, Lui Catorz. (To be read as: damn it, social media. You took my mind, give it back to me. Absurd, isn't it?) I give a picture for a slice of Parisian. Poor Popescu.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
