My granddaughter, let me tell you a story. There once was a girl very beautiful. And she had a velvet hood, gift from her grandmother, a wonder. Grandpa, did she not see that the bucket hats are trending nowadays at the mall? But, did she have TikTok and Facetime app? And when the grandmother got sick, the little girl faced the forest so that he could bring her food. But why didn't she order Glovo, like my mother does? And the bad wolf ate them. Grandpa, you are declepit with your stories from the time of the Telejournal. Better give me the tablet to see how's Bitcoin doing.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
