Don't look at me like an idiot. You know what I'm talking about. At first, you wanted me to be proud, sweet, ravishing, just like spring flowers until the Blue Flower came up and took away my shining. Because, oh well, the Blue Flower has all the time in the world to get herself ready, to swirl around and to flaunt her petals in your face. Me, dragging my buds after me, ironing, washing up, cooking; when could I possibly have the time to be proud and ravishing? And just like that I lost the love after covering myself with buds. And how hard it it was for me to come and listen to your calling.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
