The door is locked on the other side with an identical wardrobe. Back in the day, the rooms communicated, they were part of the bridal apartment." "When it was called Grand Hotel?" I asked nostalgically. He nods. You could have built the door, said I with no wrathful words. But it's built." Then I don't see what the problem is." "Neither do I." Once in the room, I've rushed to the closet. Empty inside, wallpaper on the walls. I hear a knock on the nightstand. I open it. John Malkovich pulls me and I slip into it, I run out of air, that much I enjoy it.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
