I lied about eating corn puffs. I actually had French fries. But I didn't wanna cook him some too. I was far too lazy for that. I lied about being lively. He asked to have sex. I faked the orgasm. Only so that it wouldn't last any longer. I was too lazy. It was easy lying again about having energy. He asked me to cook something for him. I lied about my fridge being empty. I really was way too lazy to do it. He asked me if I loved him. I lied. I was too sluggish to even break up with him. He asked for proof. I handed him my bag with corn puffs.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
