I have a few things in my house. In the morning, I go and look at my plants. I saved some of them from the dumpster. Some are bought from an old lady, from the subway. They were only some stumps and now they're majestic. I went to my mom's and got a vinyl. It was mine from when I was little and that means a lot, as if I brought myself back. I have a pen. I write with it and I smile. I am so dumb. I have a round table. A jute carpet. The coffee mug from you. The first edition of The Flowers of Evil. The drawings of our girls.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
