My rebellious year. I remember that I had spent a dull New Year's Eve, on the 3rd or the 4th the exam dates were displayed, especially the first one, on 31st. I went, I gave the white sheet. On the 32nd I crushed my family, I told them I was giving up, I want something new. On January 91st, I tricked them that I intended to think about it. On January 181st, I also missed the overdue session. On January 270th, when I missed the fall session, I saw that my father was completely white. I think that made me accept to repeat the year on January 280th and return to school.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
