The room was very well lit, as if everything just had to be seen. He sat on the bed and raised his shirt. He's looking very good. I'm now going to move to the right side. Ah, it's like he knew, come on, turn around so we can see. What a rascal. Wonderful. Now let's measure from this side as well. There is no need to worry, the heartbeats are normal, the organs have grown with no complications, he has all limbs. Yes, of course you can tell, you'll turn him into a football player. We will see each other again after two months. Is Wednesday ok?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
