The courier rings, I get to the door, sign, and take the package. I bring it into the living room, open it and try the trousers. They are small, although I had measured myself well. I put them back into the box, seal off, call the courier. I give him the package and then I order a pizza. Pizza is delivered, I eat it. The following day, the courier rings, I open the door and give him the pizza box. He stares at me, I apologize, I take the package, try the trousers. Large. I call the courier, eat the trousers, give him back the pizza and try the package. The third day, pizza is delivered, it is too small, I stay in my underwear.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
