Ania fell in love with you, I whisper to my husband while going to get the champagne. He is cooking for us, after all her husband will come after dinner. What a situation. I feel her like she doesn't want to do anything to upset me, and I don't know how to tell her about this Casanova of mine. He seduces them and after two nights he drops them like a hot potato, only that I like Ania and she is dear to me and I wouldn't want her to suffer. The bandmaster called me, I told them, the concert from Alaska is taking place, I hope that you can do manage without me for six days. My husband is silent. Ania looks at me terrified.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2021, the group has 3.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
