Click. I've captured your indifference. You can keep pretending that you care. Click. I took a photo of your hypocrisy. What a cute, pink snout it has. Click. I caught your envy on film. Gosh, it's so obese. Click. I took a photo of your thoughts. My, oh, my, how long they are. And how impure. Click. What's that tiny spot here? Oh. Yes. The libido, obviously. I took a photo of your soul, but what the hell is this - why did the photo come out this dark? Click. I put your hatred on film. But, unfortunately, it was so intense that it tore my film apart.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
