They were chained to the rhythm of a sexy passionate dance that kept all his senses alert. He instinctively closed his eyes and smelled her hair which touched his skin while he was holding her in her arms from behind. The scents of their bodies were making a sweet mix as they were swaying in the pale light. That minute he knew SHE was the one. Sadly though, their performance was coming to an end. She'd let go of him and was already making her way to the bus door. Excuse me, this is my stop. Mine too, babe, he said to himself.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
