When I was in high school, in the ninth grade to be precise, an older boy approached me somewhere near the Roman Square - he wanted me to lend him some textbooks. He was dark- haired and quite tall, really cute. He also wanted to know what grade I was in. Supposedly, he was going to take a university entrance exam, and he couldn't find the ninth-grade textbooks. I wanted to help. I still do. I even gave him my phone number. He may have lost it. He may have passed the entrance exam as well. Or maybe not. Anyway, if he happens to be a member of this group, I'd really like him to contact me.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
