Juan loved Adelita, and when she said estoy embarazada, he proposed. The wedding preparations began. Along the way, Adelita met Carlos who told her te quiero mucho, so she ran away with him. The bride's mom ran away with Pablito in Las Vegas, the bridesmaid married the bride's dad and the priest opened up a nightclub in Madrid. We don't know anything about the rest of the guests. Juan emptied a bottle of Johnnie Walker off of the bridal table. Puta madre, he said, and fell asleep on the priest's lap.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
