At the window, she dreams of a city filled with sensuality. The sound of tango vibrates on the street. Hands hold themselves secretly under Gothic arches, laughter hides an invitation, hot lips dusted with slight hints of sangria lure you. She greets the young couple who enter the shop and gathers a sigh of envy. How many more to find, she thinks. The woman giggled towards the riding-crops, the man blushed next to a dildo. She let them choose for themselves. She notices their impatience growing in their hasty gestures, watches them leaving, sticking to the wall on the next alley, and smiles.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
