The emperor had a cool garden and an apple tree in the ass. Daddy, it's not okay. At the very most you can have a carrot in your ass. Oh, well then. I tell you the one with the church, God help us sinners. Manole was working in civil engineering, because he was making a lot of money out of it. How do I look in red? Ana asked from the bricks. You rock!, says Manole. Daddy, it's not okay. Hm. The wolf was sitting on his back in the grass, looking down. And Little Red Riding Hood, pooh, pooh. So, was he a contortionist? Eh, I'm not telling you stories anymore. Woman, take him from that kindergarten, because he disgraces our family.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
