Her telephone rings for the nth time. All her life seems to be in that goddamn phone. And she keeps changing her passwords. Apparently, she added me on Find Friends, but when I look it up, guess what, I only see No location found. She's just left her home wearing lipstick. Incredible. And that miniskirt. Why for God's sake did she dress up like that? I follow her to see where she's heading. She disappears around the corner and I run like crazy not to lose her. And then I ran right into her. Daddy, you're following me again. I swear I'll tell mum.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
