Good evening. How fortunate to find you so late in this damned rain. Good evening, get in. He cheerfully sat on the passenger seat. We were late and it got dark. How's the cab business going, is it ok? I believe you prefer working nights since there's no much traffic, right? The driver nodded lightly. They drove in silence for a while but then he realized the city lights were slowly dimming behind. Have you got the wrong way? The car stopped next to a forest. Do you really not remember me? I thought I was your favorite, father.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2021, the group has 4.300 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
