Near the walnut tree, I put the oaken table from my grandfather, it's my favorite. On the table, the vase of flowers I brought from Paris. I will pick some flowers later to put in it. Next to it there are two chairs for whoever needs to sit down. On the fence, at the entrance, I hung the big carpet from the living room. It was hard when I brought it inside as well. Now I stopped to watch together with everyone else, even more people gathered. The sun is out as well. This is all I am left with. There might be more inside of the house. But it is smoking a little more.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
