I carefully put on the thief clothes. Nothing should make any noise. I step on the tops. It's dark. I cannot turn on the flashlight because there is someone sleeping. I crawl on my stomach and open the door. The other two bastards are ready waiting for me. I signal them to follow me. We carefully sneak to the device. It's an ordinary one, no problem to be opened by three experts like us. We extract de package. Dane, where are you? I quickly put the cake back. The lights are turned on. The bastard 1 and bastard 2 have cream on their noses.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
