Pasta - 2 calories. Pizza - one. Ice-cream - minus 6 calories. You lose weight as often as you eat. With pleasure. I'm touring the TV channels with my invention. Some adore me; others don't understand why I chose the path of eating without gaining weight instead of a cure for cancer. For I could have done it. What they don't know is that I have two months to live and I can't wait. I will take mom in my arms, will cover in kisses my grandma's hands, will play with Pawlet, the little doggy from my childhood, and will make fun of my brother. What a beautiful invention is this Heaven.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
