I don't eat in the evening, Eva told him at their first date. And looking up and down the fig tree's leaf, Adam had understood why. That woman with a perfect body created by God, without even a little bit of cellulite, with joyful breasts as if it was May, was walking holding his hand through the Heaven's Garden. They fed themselves, for a while, only with love, spending their days in divine bliss. Then, they lost themselves. In living their lives, in taking care of their children, in their tending to the household. She ate the apple out of craving, and the same way went with the cooked cabbage too, and with the meatballs, and with the pilau, and with the stew, and with the doughnuts.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In April 2021, the group has 5.600 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
