Every day he has nice dreams, he's famous, relaxed, happy. He travels, he met the love of his dreams, like in the movies, he gives to charity and he knows that he will get precisely to 100 years. Each night he changes into his pyjamas, he brushes his teeth, he gets into bed and sets his alarm. Each and every next day he goes to the same job, beside the same complaisant and impassible colleagues. He comes back to the same house, reads what others have imagined, he presses the button from his head and dreams about what he knows he'll never live.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
