I still have a lot to learn from those who have been and aren't anymore. I wake up only in the last minute realising that I didn't ask as many questions as I should have. The dead lies peacefully or not? This is between he and who else? God? The devil? The collective consciousness? I am twelve years old. I won't see him ever again. I am afraid to. Grandpa, you promised that you'll give me money for a new phone if I get a 10. Why have you left before I got back from school? I got a 10.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
