It is claimed that you only become a woman after you've allowed a man to destroy your innocence. What a paradox. His bedroom was shrouded in mystery and smoke. A simple kiss melted me entirely. My white schoolgirl socks barely covered my unsullied knees. The buds of my breasts had stiffened harder than a glass-cutting diamond. How grand. How masterly. To feel the flesh of another human, penetrating yours. To forget of your Vestal chastity. The blood streams down to my feet, coats the soles and I become a woman.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
