I love him to death. And he? He bangs the doors, drank beer, throws his clothes under the bed, rolls his eyes. He thinks he's the smartest, maybe he even is. But I'm no fool either. He came to tell me that he had discovered a band, Nirvana, and that I'd never guess what the singer did. Really? Man, I cried back then, I lived that myself. He won't wash his hair days in a row and then stays in the bathroom for three hours. Sometimes he comes to my hugs and lets me kiss him, other times he truly hates me. How can I divorce, dear therapist, my son?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
