You are like a caterpillar who is going to turn into a butterfly and fly away, the therapist told her. Caterpillar? Who the fuck are you calling caterpillar, fucker? Is that why I come to you, to get insulted while I am paying for it? If you were any good, you would have become, goddamn, a pilot, you would have found a manly profession for yourself. What's that for a profession, you piece of shit? You sit on your ass and listen to every loser. Listen, from now on, when you want to insult people, insult your goddamn mother. Go to hell with your fuckin' Freud and all!

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
