Good afternoon, I hope I ended on the right storey. I'm only interrupting you with my anxiety. Should I sit on the couch? You don't have one? Yes, it's not like in the movies, that's right. I thought I could lie a little. What could I be doing? I'm an actress. I'm not hired by a theater, I'm independent. That means that I don't depend on anyone. Me and Zita from "A stormy night", you got that, right? Did I laugh too loudly? I've been told before. Do you have some coffee? Shame. Chocolate neither? Such a sad life, I pity you. Wouldn't you rather I started with a comic monologue?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
