Two are shrieking with joy on a little sled, two are always in love, two lay claim to ideas, two cover themselves in petals, another two smile at the sun, the two play all the time, two dance and sing, two run out into the waves, two carry schoolbags, two have a thousand nostalgias, two are daring, two await miracles. Slipping in pairs down the hourglass' waist, each of them wanting to climb up the steps of the slide again and again. I know them and I feel the stomping of their thoughts, I am their favorite amusement park.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
