I am a cockroach. You call me that because I stink, I haven't had access to water in a long time, since I hid myself, fleeing from the wife, do I have a wife, your wife, you moron, she didn't manage to kill me, with what, with her slipper she got me, which slippers, the ones she didn't throw in your face when she should have, what do you mean when, when you told her you couldn't find a good plumber for cheap, you fixed the kitchen plumbing yourself, that's where I got in, how, carefully so I wouldn't disturb anyone in the middle of the night, why, to have children, how many, many.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
