Put the rugs below and the blanket on top, like this. Good, now bring the small pillows. And put the plank in the corner, so the children don't fall over. During summer break, the high porch at our grandparents was the cosmic adventure of two city brats, an older one and a quite smaller one. They slept under the Sky and wandered on the Moon. Look, the Big Dipper, do you see it? One, two, four. And another three at the top. It's the Little Dipper, look! These crickets are cricketing so loud. Well, good night. I never counted sheep to fall asleep. I counted shooting stars. I miss you, grandma and grandpa.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
