A real man doesn't hide his emotions. I can't spend my life with a cold fish. I'm sorry, we're breaking up. The man suffered for a while, but then decided to change. He went to a therapist, took self-development classes, watched a lot of movies, listened to a lot of music. Now, everything moves him to tears; a flower, a bird, a kid playing with his ball. He felt prepared, so he returned to his lover. She didn't want him back; said she couldn't spend her life with a crybaby. Now he's looking for another therapist.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
