Who, sweetie, Loredana? The one who's always walkin' around with her boobs out? Get outta here, I don't believe ya! An' you're tellin' me the one with the ring in his nose who's datin' that gem of a girlie is comin' too? Well, I'll be darned, sweetie! Will that Antonia, essence of the flapper girl, also be there? Even if you say they'll come throwin' a big loud concert in our village with their big city noise, I ain't gonna believe ya! We're just a bunch of poor troglodytes, how'd we even afford to pay for all of 'em? An' am I gonna up and leave my cow just to watch 'em bunch of rich folks who prance around on them TVs? Darn it, I'll come along.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
