I had been away for two days in the delegation. I was thinking about her. To my mistress. I talked on the phone every day but that wasn't enough. I called my wife too, so she wouldn't think I forgot her. I was thinking of shortening my delegation. I had managed to solve the problems much faster and I could return two days faster. I wanted to call my mistress but I thought I'd surprise her. The next evening I was at the door of the apartment. I went in and saw red in front of my eyes. The mistress was in my wife's arms.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
