Red Emperor rose from the throne and with a sad face said: I have decided to marry Rozi, my eldest daughter. Eldest, eldest, eldest there was an echo. Does anyone want to take her, or is it too fat? Too fat, too fat, too fat, echoed again. No one wants? Nobody, nobody, nobody. Then let's eat her, someone said. We eat her, we eat her, we eat her. Rozi, with her hands on her lap, looked indifferently out the window and said calmly that she would go to the gym from tomorrow and all she had to do was get a pink tracksuit and sneakers. Pink, pink, pink.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
