They were two bright virologists. She, the delicate Pan Go Lin, studied the Influenza virus. The handsome Bat Man Li worked at the HIV section. One night, as they were staying for extra hours, they noticed that they were alone in the whole laboratory and decided to move to action. They put their tubes with viruses inside their pockets, then they removed their glasses, masks and robes, throwing them on the floor. The tubes broke, their contents combined and that is how the product of China, which turned the whole world upside down, appeared.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
