Vama is a dear friend of mine from another life. I have so many memories with it that I could write a river novel. Or rather a Young and Restless type of screenplay. Every grain of sand from Vama has something of my noisy laughter, and every fragment of shell glows a tear of mine. At the feet of the sea I left my dreams, so it could carry them at distance, where it meets the sky. It always brought me back what I wanted, the way I wanted it. Not everything I wanted and received was good.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
