I know the first album by heart. I belted out the whole list in one night without electricity in a dorm room, with him. Two tone-deaf people singing and laughing in the dark. But they are belting out too. In fact, I got into them through him and for him. We didn't even get to Vama. The sea was always too far away. I have few childhood memories. 12 hours by train. Early, at sunrise, we crossed an endless Danube which flooded my retina with its silver glaze, in the bouncy sound of the wheels. This story seems sad. In reality, I don't have any regrets.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In May 2021, the group has 6.400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
