Can you imagine those times in 2020, with that pandemic going on? They were living in the so-called family: kids, in-laws, spouses. They were kissing each other and hugging each other. They were using the same toilet and had to mate to procreate. How disgusting; to tie your life like that to some people, to surrender your freedom. I donated my eggs when they said so and asked me if I want to be there to watch them mature. Horrible. My friend, who works at the labs, took one of the little humans in her arms and felt some sort of attachment. Now she's in therapy.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
