It has a long antenna and I take advantage of it when my wife is sullen, her arms crossed under her meaningful chest, she is a bit sulky, starring out the window -she seems to admire the brick of the neighboring block of flats. In fact, she is gathering thoughts-memories as from a dream life, and I tickle her left ear a little - the sensitive one that is delicately adorned with my kiss from 30 years ago, when we became one. A warm tear falls on my cheek, I taste it and I feel forgiveness love, and we make up, and everything seems so real. Unfortunately, she left a long, long time ago.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
