Ion was six months old when he fell from the cherry tree. He had climbed on looking for a monkey wrench and he slipped on the ice. At the hospital, amazement. Ion was suffering from a low salary. They gave him a pacifier to forget about the trouble. It was deflated, so Ion went to a tire repair shop for vulcanization. The volcanologists played an episode of Game of Thrones. When the dragons kill Seinfeld and they flee to Pluto, ridden by Elon Musk. Enchanted by the action, Ion dreamed about pink meat rolls and Justin Biber playing the panpipes. Wait, the automatic story writing software has been infected. Do you have a mop, an 8 mm wrench?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
