2 or 4 passed, even 5. The last year without him seemed like a storm of days when I was blindly walking in the dark. I dream of him even now, because that's the only place I'm allowed to. When we meet in reality, we pretend that the sky has fallen between us, and our touches could consume the world. Only our eyes are free, they don't care about morals. They are selfish and untouched by the fear of sin, like a gate to the carnal needs. But we are not just flesh. We are also the consciousness of the flesh, and by this we are restricted, quashed. Some say we are free.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
