The first step put a star of fire in my soul. Through it I became a mystery in the hand of divine geometry and accepted wholeheartedly to be unholy. One step further and they crammed a knot cross down my throat, intended to help me take everything as it comes and to not let myself driven by everything. Around the middle I was promised that those who follow his name could resurrect children from the dead, but I didn't believe that, and then I fell down and hit my head against a set square. In his shade I understood that we become only if we decompose. And so I died.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, setting their texts within the limit of 500 symbols (in Romanian language, so in English the limit might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise with an almost daily changed topic. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
