He then turned towards me and I saw that it was actually him. He was convinced I was playing around. He knew me well. He went back to the car. He started pumping out gas and told me he was going to burn me alive, and then he'd piss on my ashes. He would still sweat whenever I was around. I knew he had a weak personality and he hated me for this. I always knew that he was going to kill me, but I chose to smile at him. A few minutes later, I was naked. My see-through, black veil dress was covering my nakedness. I suspected that after he killed me, he would kill himself, too.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
