The man was admiring the long neck ended in cleavage of the young woman at the bar while chewing some gum. What's your name. Mona. His hand and sparkly watch stroked her subtly. Mona, I want to be your Santa Claus. I'll give you the moon in the sky. Anything you want. She quickly toted up in a club math what would be the price of the leather jacket, the golden ring and the sparkly dress. Mona summed up with a smile. 800. Lei? She blinked, leaning over him discreetly. Euros. The man looked at his Seiho watch, apologized and went home to the free meat rolls of his wife.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
