He wants a new guitar, a bass and a bicycle, the private tutoring's run us dry this year, what do we do? He also wants to go to camp, don't forget. And to the beach, with us. We've also had to pay for that ANAF bullshit, I'm burying myself in the blanket, I don't want to hear anything else, that's it, I'm tired, I've had enough. Should also repaint this year. You know what? Nevermind the math, we'll figure it out somehow. Prioritize, yes? So a bass, a bicycle, the beach, guitar, camp, and we'll repaint God knows when, 'cause we've got plenty of walls and only one child. And he's the best.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In June 2021, the group has 6.650 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
