I ended up without a job, without a boo and I wanted an upgrade. I hid it with pins in a bun and I went to several interviews. In every single place they said that I was overqualified. And weird enough, everyone was asking me if I am going to a wedding. A downfall took me by surprise and washed away very well my extended brain. My bun went to hell. It took me awhile to take off that stupid thing from my head. I lost some hair, but I managed to make another dishevelled bun from which some steamed locks of hair are coming out. I dress myself with a flapper dress and I am heading to ruin my boo's wedding.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In July 2021, the group has 6.800 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
